IL-HITREC


The Illinois Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center (IL-HITREC) provides services to priority primary care physicians (PPCPs) to assist them in adopting and achieving meaningful use of electronic health record systems in Illinois outside the City of Chicago. The cost of  providing these services is subsidized through an award from the Office of the National Coordinator, Department of Health and Human Services (Grant 90RC0023/01).

Vision - for priority primary care physicians to use an  interoperable health information technology system to improve the quality and efficiency of providing patient care in Illinois.

Mission - to leverage expertise and resources to implement the outreach, education, and technical assistance programs necessary to assist Illinois physicians to advance toward the goal of improving the quality and value of care they provide by attaining or exceeding meaningful use of electronic health records.
