Our Services

IL-HITREC provides vendor-neutral technical assistance to priority primary care providers in meeting the meaningful use requirements related to the selection, implementation and use of electronic health record systems (EHRs). We provide hands-on field support in the following areas and our services include:

We complete a comprehensive review of your practice’s workflow and identify important selection criteria. This helps us compile a list of vendors whose products best-fit your needs.

We also conduct a site assessment and readiness survey to determine how prepared you are to deploy an EHR. This allows us to identify and develop targeted office redesign strategies, if necessary.

We act as the project manager in the implementation stage to ensure your transition to EHRs is seamless. From onsite technical assistance, workflow analysis and redesign, and reporting meaningful use, you will benefit from industry best practices that support effective and expedient EHR use and increased productivity.

We assist your practice by updating the roles and responsibilities for your clinical and support staff, as well as provide training for ePrescribing, which delivers benefits such as improved patient safety, more effective use of staff time and more timely care for patients.
Additionally, we help you create and follow a strategy for data collection and reporting that demonstrates meaningful use attainment.

We troubleshoot and provide your practice with technical assistance as needed, so your patients experience continuity of care. This is accomplished when EHRs effectively share information and communicate with other IT systems/applications that reside outside of your practice.

We understand the state laws and regulatory requirements that impact privacy and security policies for electronic interoperable health information exchange. From physical and network security, to user-based access controls, disaster recover, encryption and storage of backup media, and human resources training and policies, your office will benefit from using a variety of document templates and best practice models.

Through webinars, conferences and joint programs, IL-HITREC provides awareness, education and training services that help your practice, staff and patients understand and adopt to EHR systems.
